Gents Fall At Cornell College, 13-10
The Centenary lacrosse team fell 13-10 to the Cornell College Rams on Thursday afternoon at Van Metre Field at Ash Park.

Mount Vernon, Iowa – The Centenary lacrosse team fell 13-10 to the Cornell College Rams on Thursday afternoon at Van Metre Field at Ash Park.
The Gents (2-2) and Rams (2-1) were tied 6-6 at halftime and a 4-3 edge in the third quarter gave Cornell a 10-9 lead headed into the final period in which the Rams outscored the Gents 3-1 to seal the victory.
Cornell finished with a 70-31 advantage in shots, 47-20 in ground balls, and went 12-14 on clears while Centenary finished 14-23 on clears. The Rams finished 21-27 on face offs and the Gents were 6-27. Each team had 21 turnovers.
The Gents took an early 2-0 on goals by senior A G'Colby Spivey (Dallas, Texas) and freshman A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.) with Spivey assisting on Harvill's goal. Spivey finished with three goals and senior M Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) matched him with three.
Cook, who now has 10 goals this season and 74 in his superb career, also scored his 100th point with his second goal on Thursday and finished with three in the game for 101 in his career. Freshman A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.) scored a pair of goals and sophomore M Ethan Hewett (Bossier City, La.) and freshman A/M Connor Shaver (Leander, Texas) each scored one. Spivey, Hewett, and sophomore A Gibson Harvill (Bossier, City, La.) each had two assists.
Senior Dylan Miller (Shreveport, La.) went the distance in goal for the Gents and made 30 saves and Cornell's Thomas cook also played the entire match and made 12 saves.
Tyler Foster led the Rams with four goals and Aron Rodriguez was right behind him with three. Charley Kobets led Cornell with three assists.
The Gents complete the weekend with a contest at Beloit College on Friday at 4 p.m. in Beloit, Wisc.
