2022-23 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Officers Announced
The 2022-23 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee officers for Centenary athletics have been named, Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced on Wednesday.
Shreveport – The 2022-23 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee officers for Centenary athletics have been named, Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced on Wednesday.
Senior Avery Gilbert (League City, Texas) of women's soccer is serving as president, senior Devan Martin (Watson, La.) of men's golf is vice-president, junior Shelby Roy (Haughton, La.) of Cheer is treasurer, and junior Bryn Jenkins (Houston, Texas) of women's swimming is secretary. The SAAC meets monthly with representatives from each sport on campus.
The purpose of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to provide student-athletes with an opportunity to present a student prospective to the leadership of the college and the athletic department. It also provides for a student-athlete response to proposed NCAA or SCAC legislation and communication and networking to represent the interests of all Centenary student-athletes.
