Scott Muscutt To Serve As KeyNote Speaker At Athletics Banquet
Scott Muscutt, General Manager of the Shreveport Mudbugs, will be the keynote speaker at the Centenary Athletics’ end of the year banquet on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. in the Gold Dome.
Shreveport - Scott Muscutt, General Manager of the Shreveport Mudbugs, will be the keynote speaker at the Centenary Athletics' end of the year banquet on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. in the Gold Dome.
Muscutt was the first player in franchise history to sign a contract in 1997. The native of Appin, Ontario in Canada, played for the Mudbugs from 1997-2000 and then became head coach. During the Mudbugs' time in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL), Muscutt won two championships as a player, and two as a head coach. As of 2010, he had the second-most wins by any coach in CHL history.
Muscutt led the Mudbugs to a NAHL (North American Hockey League) championship in their second season in the league and won it again in 2021.
Centenary will recognize its senior student-athletes, celebrate the many achievements of the Ladies and Gents from the 2022-23 athletic year, and hand out several prestigious individual awards. Centenary's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) has planned and will facilitate the event. In addition to shining the spotlight on the senior class, all student-athletes and coaching staffs will be in attendance for the celebration.
