Shreveport – The Centenary gymnastics team is back home this weekend as the Ladies will face fellow Midwest Independent Conference member Texas Woman's University in a dual meet on Saturday at 4 p.m. inside the Gold Dome.
The Ladies and Pioneers will be meeting for the second time this season after opening the 2025 campaign against each other in Denton, Texas. TWU won that meet on Jan. 12 by a score of 194.000-180.375. Saturday's meet is a special one annually for the Ladies' program as it is the Alumnae Meet/Sylvia Keiter Memorial Meet.

Centenary finished third with a score of 186.525 in the SEMO tri-meet last Friday against the host SEMO (Southeast Missouri State University) Redhawks and Northern Illinois University in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Centenary is ranked 79th in this week's Road to Nationals rankings while TWU checks in at 45th.
The Ladies posted season-high scores on both floor (48.100) and vault (47.525) last weekend and finished with an identical 45.450 on both bars and beam.
Junior Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas) scored a season high on beam and made her season debut on floor and vault as she earned a 9.55 on floor and a 9.50 on vault and also competed on beam and recorded a season-high score.
Foret is this week's recipient of the Coaches' Choice Award, the MIC announced on Wednesday as she earned one of the four individual honors that the conference chooses on a weekly basis and received it for the second time in her career. She is the third Centenary gymnast to win the award this season, joining senior Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.) and sophomore Olivia Williams (Cape Coral, Fla.).
Lavelle had an impressive meet last weekend as she earned season highs on both beam (9.575) and floor (9.575), senior Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas) posted season highs on both floor (9.45) and vault (9.55), and Williams matched her career high on floor (9.75) to finish seventh.
Junior Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.) had a career high on vault (9.60) to tie for ninth place and posted a season-best on floor (9.60) and junior Olivia Stratmann (Houston, Texas) had a career high on bars.
Sophomore Hayden Cagle (Austin, Texas) posted a career-high 9.40 on vault, and sophomore Brooke Murdock (Garland, Texas) had a career high on floor (9.625) and a season high on beam. Freshman Molly English (Newnan, Ga.) and freshman Chloe Gilbert (Pflugerville, Texas), each had career highs on vault as Gilbert earned a 9.45 and English a 9.425.
