Ladies Set For ISU Quad Meet On Friday Night
The Centenary gymnastics team is back on the road this weekend as the Ladies will face host and fellow Midwest Independent Conference member Illinois State University, Bowling Green University, and Central Michigan University in a quad meet inside Horton Field House.

Centenary is ranked 84th in this week's Road to Nationals rankings while the host Redbirds are No. 38, Bowling Green checks in at 62, and Central Michigan is 36th.
The Ladies recorded a season-high 189.00 last Saturday at home as they finished second to the Texas Woman's University Pioneers in a MIC dual meet inside the Gold Dome. Centenary also posted season highs on both bars (47.800) and beam (46.650) on Saturday.
Junior Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.) is this week's recipient of the MIC Coaches' Choice Award, the conference announced on Wednesday. Flores received the honor for the first time in her career and was named a co-winner with TWU's Maddy Murphy. She is the fourth Centenary gymnast to win the award this season, joining junior Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas), senior Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.) and sophomore Olivia Williams (Cape Coral, Fla.). Flores scored a season and career-high 9.775 on bars on Saturday at home against TWU to earn a tie for second place.
Lavelle scored season highs on bars (9.50) and beam (9.60) last Saturday against TWU, senior Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas) tied her season high on bars (9.675), Foret tallied a season-high 9.575 on beam, sophomore Cecilia Paredes (Rockwall, Texas) posted a season and career high 9.575 on floor, and freshman Erin Pinder (Bridgetown Barbados) had a season and career-high 9.60 on bars.
REMAINING SCHEDULE:
The Ladies will face Fisk University in their finale home meet of the regular season on Saturday, March 8 at 5 p.m. and then head to Minneapolis, Minn. on March 16 to face the host Gophers, Iowa, and LIU in a quad meet to wrap up the regular season.
