Centenary is led by head coach Meg Crowley who is in her third season at the helm in 2025. Crowley, a Spring, Texas native, is a former Centenary gymnast (2009-13) who helped lead the Ladies to a third-place finish at the 2013 USA Gymnastics Collegiate Nationals, also finishing third on floor and served as team co-captain her senior year.
"We are super excited to be hosting MIC Championship this year!", said Crowley. It's a great honor and privilege to host the pinnacle meet for our conference. The MIC Championship meet is always an exciting meet to watch. The teams are highly competitive, and it's truly about who shows up with their A game that day!"
"It's been a fun season! We have grown and improved so much as a team from meet one up until this point. We've been working on hard on staying in the moment and focusing on the process. If we can do that, I know that we will have a great meet!"
"It's even more exciting because this isn't the final stop for us this season as a team. We will be hosting Nationals here as well in 3 weeks, so today is really just another stepping stone towards that meet."
Season Highlights:
Senior Emma Lavelle (Mandeville, La.) was named a finalist for the prestigious AAI Award sponsored by American Athletic Inc. (AAI) on March 4. Lavelle is the only division III gymnast of the 59 nominees in the country. The AAI Award is given annually and is voted on by NCAA women's gymnastics head coaches throughout the nation. The award, which is sponsored by the American Athletic Inc., is often likened to the Heisman Trophy for Women's Gymnastics and has become a symbol of excellence in the sport.
Five Ladies have been the recipient of the MIC Coaches' Choice Award this season, one of the four individual honors that the conference chooses on a weekly basis. The five Ladies are:
Senior Sophie Schmitz (Trophy Club, Texas) – March 4
Junior Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.) – Feb. 25
Junior Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas) – Feb. 19
Emma Lavelle – Feb. 4
