Anderson, S.C.-The Brevard College Tornados were defeated 92-66 by the hot-shooting Anderson Trojans in Abney Athletic Center on Wednesday night in South Atlantic Conference action.
The Trojans finished a scorching 17-of-29 (58.6 %) from beyond the arc, and had four players score in double figures in the victory.
Chandler Hash led the Pioneers with 23 points on a 5-for-8 performance from three-point range, and was a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line. Denzail Jones followed with 20 points, while Bo Holston and Myson Jones finished with 15 and 14, respectively.
Brevard's Gerel Simmons led all scorers with 26 points, but the Tornados struggled to overcome an early deficit. The Trojans started the game on a 12-2 run, and led 50-34 at the half.
Freshman Matthew Ward finished with 14 points, shooting 7-for-10 from the floor while Dominique Pickett chipped in 10 points.
The Tornados cap their 2012-2013 season with a 4 p.m. tipoff with Tusculum College in Boshamer Gymnasium on Saturday. The Pioneers used a late second-half run to edge the Tornados 66-64 in Pioneer Arena on February 2nd.
