SHREVEPORT - The Centenary Activities Board is hosting "Moonlight Madness" Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. in the Gold Dome in preparation for the Ladies and Gents basketball seasons, a school spirit-filled basketball showcase.
The Madness will include a three-point and free-throw contests from both teams, and a scrimmage by the Gents.
"This is a really great opportunity for us to give the fans a small taste of what to expect for this season," Gents head coach Adam Wash said. "I'm excited about this season, and I'm confident in our guys and what they should accomplish this year."
"It's always fun to get play in front of your home crowd and have students come support their friends and classmates like this," said Kristen Davis, who's entering her third year at the helm of the Ladies. "This should be a great night and we hope to have a really healthy turnout from the student population."
Along with the Ladies and Gents contests, students will have opportunities to win prizes. Prizes will be given out for craziest spirit, classist spirit, and best-painted spirit, among others.
"We expect this to be a fun night with a lot of school spirit," Walsh said. "Our fan base has been strong lately and both teams made significant strides last year, so we expect that base to keep growing."
