Irving, Texas- The Gents had a close game with the Crusaders, but fell short in the second half. The Gents (5-4) shot well from the field at 40 percent, but were outdone by the Crusaders (4-2) who shot 52.4 percent.
The Gents were able to keep it close in the first half, trading leads down to the four minute mark. A back to back jumper and then three-point shot by Steven Aldas created small gap for the Crusaders that they were able to capitalize on to keep the lead for the rest of the game.
Centenary had two players in double digits; Jonathan Blount led all scorers with 26 points and Brett Bell contributed 13 points. Brett Bell also led in total rebounds with 7. Dallas had four players in double digits; Tanner Bruffey with 24, Ross Davidson with 18, Kym Malone with 14, and Blaine Blackburn with 13.
The Gents face the University of Dallas again on Monday at 7:30pm.
