LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After helping the Gents claim its second-largest Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory in program history, senior Travion Kirkendoll was named Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season and the seventh time in his career on Tuesday, January 2.
In the Maroon and White's final game of 2017 on Saturday, Kirkendoll scored a game-high 27 points with nine rebounds and four steals on 10-for-16 (.625 percent) shooting, his second-best mark of the season.
Centenary beat Austin College 91-63, the biggest SCAC win since knocking off Southwestern 79-48 on December 1, 2012. It was also the first conference-opening win for the Gents in four seasons.
The Gents kick off 2018 against Texas Lutheran Friday night, January 5, at 5:30 p.m.
