Trio Of Gents Earn USILA Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week Honors
The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2026 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
Louisville, Ky. - The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association released its 2026 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week accolades on Wednesday. Players earned recognition from the organization as they each posted exceptional performances in their programs games this past week.
The list of honorees, which includes three Centenary players, are as follows:
Michael Jannotte, Goalie, Fy., Massapequa, N.Y. (Stevens). 18 saves, 69.2 save percentage, 8.00 goals against average. Facing the 2025 national runner-up in his collegiate debut, Jannotte made 18 saves as #16 Stevens upset #6 Dickinson 9-8 on Saturday. He was especially dominant in the fourth quarter as he made six saves, including one with 1:33 left to preserve the victory. 2.
Drew Garrison, Defense, Jr., Worthington, Ohio (Calvin). 5 ground balls, 4 caused turnovers. Garrison led Calvin with five ground balls and four caused turnovers in an 11-8 win over Capital. He was a big component of the ride that contributed to a 59 percent clearing percentage and also had a game-sealing ground ball at the end of the game to secure the win.
Colin Kane, Defense, Sr., Havertown, Pa. (York (Pa.) 5 ground balls, 4 caused turnovers. Kane had a big day on the defensive end with career-highs in caused turnovers (4) and ground balls (5) to lead #12 York to a 10-8 opening-day victory over #10 Washington and Lee.
Freshman FO Gavin Ferrington (Bossier City, La.) (Centenary (La.) 93.0 percent faceoff percentage (36 of 39), 30 ground balls, 2 caused turnovers, 2 goals, 1 assist. Ferrington was dominant for Centenary in a pair of wins over Warren Wilson and Brevard on the road, as he won 36-39 faceoffs (93 percent) and added 30 ground balls and two caused turnovers while chipping in a pair of goals and an assist.
Jake Gruzas, Long-Stick Midfielder, So., Caldwell, N.J. (Kean). 1 assist, 2 ground balls, 7 caused turnovers. Gruzas finished with seven caused turnovers, two ground balls and an assist in Kean's 13-10 victory over Eastern on Saturday.
Julian Kammerman, Midfield, Sr., Trumbull, Conn. (Roanoke). 4 goals, 3 assists, 3 ground balls, 1 caused turnover. Kammerman led Roanoke to a 17-8 win over Mary Washington with four goals and three assists on the day, while also picking up three grounders and causing a turnover.
Jackson Penn, Midfield, Jr., Ridgefield, Conn. (Stevens). 3 goals, 1 ground ball, 1 caused turnover. Penn led #16 Stevens with three goals on six shots as the Ducks upset 2025 national runner-up #6 Dickinson by a 9-8 score on Saturday. The junior midfielder added a ground ball and a caused turnover in the victory.
Sophomore A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.) (Centenary (La.). 14 goals. Harvill scored an NCAA single-game record 14 goals in Centenary's season-opening 21-11 victory over Hendrix, breaking the previous mark of 13 achieved five times by four D-III players and one D-II player. He scored four times in the first, third and fourth periods and twice in the second.
Aidan Niklaus, Attack, Jr., Santa Cruz, Calif. (Colorado College). 8 goals, 3 assists, 7 ground balls, 4 caused turnovers. Niklaus was all over the field in Colorado College's first two games of the year, recording four goals at both Illinois Wesleyan and Aurora. He also led the team with four caused turnovers and contributed to a combined opponent's clearing percentage of 59.6 percent while finishing second on the team with 7 ground balls.
Sophomore A Noah Walsh (Mount Prospect, Ill.) (Centenary (La.). 9 goals, 20 assists, 6 ground balls, 2 caused turnovers. Walsh had a big offensive weekend for Centenary in a pair of wins over Warren Wilson and Brevard, totaling nine goals and 20 assists. Walsh had a career-high 14 assists in Sunday's win at Brevard, the third-most assists in a game in Division III history.
