Bethany, Okla. - The Centenary College STUNT team returns to action this weekend for its second competition of the season as the Ladies will play in the Southern Nazarene University Tournament inside the Sawyer Center.
The Ladies will play six games during the weekend beginning on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. against Hope International University. Centenary will play two games on Friday – versus host Southern Nazarene at 4:30 p.m. followed by a matchup against Connors State College at 7 p.m. The Ladies then conclude the weekend on Saturday against Oklahoma Baptist University at 9 a.m.
"As we head into our second tournament weekend, the Ladies will face their fiercest competition yet," said Centenary head coach Kaylee King.
"On Thursday night, they will see the Hope International University, an NAIA powerhouse from California and this will be a tough game for us, but will allow us to see the potential of our program as they have been an established and successful team for many years now."
"On Friday, we will start the evening with a contest against Southern Nazarene University. They are a younger program but coached well and have grown in roster size this season. I'm excited to see how we match up against them. We will also cap off the evening with another game versus Connors State College. After seeing them previously, our team is fired about the opportunity to make some needed changes and adjustments in hopes of putting out an even better performance against them."
"Lastly, the Ladies will see the reigning DII National Champions in Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday morning. This will once again, be a tough game for the Ladies, but will allow them to really measure where they are in their skills and show us where we want to be in the coming years. I look forward to seeing the newer skills we have added to our arsenal be played for the first time this weekend. While not perfect, yet, they have great potential and have earned floor time. I also look forward to seeing the skills we currently have get 1% each game."
