STUNT Set For Three Weekend Contests In Arkansas
The Centenary College STUNT team will play three games this weekend at the University of Central Arkansas inside the HPER Center.
Conway, Ark. - The Centenary College STUNT team will play three games this weekend at the University of Central Arkansas inside the HPER Center.
The Ladies will face Southwest Baptist University on Friday at 2:15 p.m. in their first action of the weekend as they will face the Bearcats for the third time this season.
"I look forward to seeing the Ladies play Southwest Baptist again," said Centenary head coach Kaylee King. "They are a small roster like us and a great group of athletes with a fantastic coach. They always play a great game, and I am excited to see the new skills they have gained since we played them last."
On Saturday at 11:30 a.m., Centenary will see another familiar face in Southern Nazarene University. In their previous match up, the Ladies were unable to place points on the board against the second year DII team.
"I am hopeful that our team is ready to put up a fight against the Bolts and really locks in to the task at hand. It would be great to see some points placed on the board, but as long as we have a better showing against them than we did the last time, I will be happy with the outcome either way."
The final game in Arkansas will be against a new opponent for the Maroon and White with a matchup against Drury University at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, an NAIA team in its third season.
"The Panthers are a well-seasoned team. They have a coach with great experience, and she has built up their program. While they are still young in terms of years of play, they have grown in skill quickly. It will be a fun match up against them and another chance for our team to see where they could be in the next couple of years."
The Ladies were tested and challenged last weekend in a trio of matches in the Texas Woman's University Tournament in Denton, Texas as they faced the host Pioneers along with St. Edwards University, and St. Mary's University, all of which are division II schools and members of the Lonestar Conference. Centenary has played 11 games so far this season and will finish the season next weekend in a tournament hosted by the University of Tennessee at Martin in Martin, Tenn.
