Gymnastics To Close Regular Season This Weekend On Road
The Centenary gymnastics team will finish its regular season on the road this weekend with a pair of meets beginning with a non-conference dual meet against the Greenville University Panthers on Friday at 4 PM inside H.J. Long Gymnasium.
Greenville, Ill. - The Centenary gymnastics team will finish its regular season on the road this weekend with a pair of meets beginning with a non-conference dual meet against the Greenville University Panthers on Friday at 4 PM inside H.J. Long Gymnasium.

The Ladies are ranked 79th in this week's Road to Nationals rankings while the Panthers are 81st. Friday's meet marks the third time that the teams have seen each other this season. Both teams were both part of the Bulldog Invitational, a quad meet hosted by Fisk University in Jan. 11 in Nashville, Tenn. and they met on Feb. 6 in Shreveport as Centenary defeated Greenville in its home opener with an impressive team score of 190.100.
Centenary will conclude the weekend and its regular season on Sunday with dual meet at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio at 1:30 PM.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Ladies posted a 188.325 team score on Senior Night last Friday as the Ladies finished second in a non-conference tri-meet versus Fisk and Wilberforce University inside the Gold Dome.
Senior Claire Flores (Oklahoma City, Okla.) tied her career high on vault (9.70) to win the event, senior Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas) won on beam with a season-high tying 9.675 and senior Olivia Stratmann (Houston, Texas) tied for second place on bars with a season-high 9.575. Stratmann was this week's recipient of the Coaches' Choice Award, the Midwest Independent Conference announced on Wednesday. She earned one of the four individual honors that the conference chooses on a weekly basis and received it for the first time in her career.
Freshman Riley Navarro (Boiling Springs, Pa.) tied for second with a season-best 9.65 on beam, Foret was also the Ladies' top finisher on floor (9.625) as she finished third, and freshman Leila Dunlavy (Twin Falls, Idaho) tied for fifth on floor with a season-best 9.55 and she also tied with Stratmann for second place on bars.
