Ladies Open Season On Monday In 2025 Scots Fall Invitational
The Centenary women's golf team opens its 2025-26 season on Monday as the Ladies tee off in the 2025 Scots Fall Invitational hosted by Lyon College at The Course at Eagle Mountain.
Batesville, Ark. - The Centenary women's golf team opens its 2025-26 season on Monday as the Ladies tee off in the 2025 Scots Fall Invitational Presented by Bank of Cave City and hosted by Lyon College at The Course at Eagle Mountain.
The Ladies will be joined this week by the host Scots along with Hendrix College, Mississippi University for Women, Texas Lutheran University, and Williams Baptist University.
Centenary returns four golfers from last season and adds a pair of rookies in Gracie Evans (Lake Charles, La.) and Zoe Garcia (Magnolia, Texas). The Ladies will play three tournaments this Fall.
Sophomore Haylee Crowder (Haughton, La.) headlines the returners as she capped her impressive rookie season with a tie for 25th place at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships last April by shooting a 61-over par 277 total after rounds of 94-87-96 in Whitney, Texas. She recorded four top-15 finishes and five top 20's during the season while playing in all seven of the Ladies' tournaments.
Sophomore Amber Shaw (Hughes Springs, Texas) also had an extremely impressive rookie season as she played in all seven of the Ladies' tournaments and shot a season-best 83 (+11) in round two of the SCAC Championships as she finished in 32nd place at 68-over par 284. Shaw tied for 38th place in the Ladies' season-opening tournament (SCAC Preview) to finish at 66-over par 210 (103-107) and finished 17th in the Hal Sutton Invitational in March, the Ladies' annual home tournament, after shooting rounds of 92-90. She shot 90 or lower three times during the season and recorded a pair of top-20 finishes.
Junior Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) played in all seven of the Ladies' tournaments last season and had another solid campaign. She shot a season-low 93 in round two of the SCAC Championships as she finished 36th at 97-over par 313 (108-93-112). She finished 40th in the Ladies' season-opening tournament, the SCAC Preview, after shooting rounds of 112-99 (67-over 211). She also tied for 30th in the Hal Sutton Invitational in March, the Ladies' annual home tournament at 57-over par 201 (96-105)
Junior Mya Thompson (South Jordan, Utah) played in all seven of the Ladies' tournaments last season and shot a season-low 14-over 86 in the Crusader Cup as she tied for 21st place at 37-over par 181. She finished in a tie for 28th place at 47-over par 191 after rounds of 99-92 in the SCAC Preview, the Ladies' first tournament of the season. Thompson tied for 30th place at 57-over par 201 in the Hal Sutton Invitational in March, the Ladies' annual home tournament and capped her season with a 34th-place finish at the SCAC Championships (+81) 297 in April.
