Ladies Ninth After Opening Round At Crusader Cup
The Centenary women's golf team shot a 112-over par 400 to sit in ninth place on Monday in the opening round of the Crusader Cup hosted by the University of Dallas as the Ladies began their spring season at Hackberry Creek Country Club.

The Ladies are joined this week by the host Crusaders along with Concordia University, Howard Payne University, Schreiner University, Texas Lutheran University, Our Lady of the Lake University, McMurry University, Hardin-Simmons University, and LeTourneau University.
The Ladies and the rest of the field were tested over 18 holes by the par 72, 5,800-yard layout and will play the final 18 holes on Tuesday. Our Lady of the Lake University is the day one team leader after shooting a 40-over par 328. The Saints lead Hardin-Simmons by three shots and LeTourneau is three strokes back of OLLU.
OLLU's Kendall Ward shot a 3-over par 75 and leads Hardin-Simmons' Shay West and Kinsley Pessel of LeTourneau by one shot for the individual lead.
Sophomore Haylee Crowder (Haughton, La.) and sophomore Amber Shaw (Hughes Springs, Texas) led the way for the Ladies as they each shot an 18-over par 90 and are tied for 21st place. Junior Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) shot a 23-over par 95 and is tied for 28th place and freshman Zoe Garcia (Magnolia, Texas) shot a 53-over 125 in her season debut and is in 46th place.
