Ladies Cap Fall Season With Seventh-Place Finish In Abilene Intercollegiate
The Centenary women's golf team finished seventh in the Abilene Intercollegiate hosted by Hardin-Simmons University on Tuesday at Live Oak Golf Club.
Abilene, Texas – The Centenary women's golf team finished seventh in the Abilene Intercollegiate hosted by Hardin-Simmons University on Tuesday at Live Oak Golf Club.

The Ladies shot a +142 (710) with a 79-over par 363 in Monday's opening round followed by a 63-over 347 on Tuesday. Centenary and the host Cowgirls were joined by Concordia University, East Texas Baptist University, Howard Payne University, McMurry University, Schreiner University, Southwestern University, and Texas Lutheran University at the par 71, 6,009-yard course.
Southwestern claimed the team title after shooting a +62 (630) to finish six shots ahead of Hardin-Simmons. Sydney Jackson of Southwestern won the individual title as she shot an 11-over par 153. Jackson, who was tied with Madisyn Davis of ETBU after round one, finished two shots ahead of HSU's Allison McGinnis.
Sophomore Amber Shaw (Hughes Springs, Texas) and sophomore Haylee Crowder (Haughton, La.) tied for 28th place at 30-over par 172 to lead the way for the Ladies. Shaw shot rounds of 93-79 and Crowder went 87-85.
Freshman Gracie Evans (Lake Charles, La.) finished in a tie for 33rd place at 32-over par 174 (87-87), junior Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) finished 40th at 50-over par 192 (96-96), and junior Mya Thompson (South Jordan, Utah) did not play on Tuesday (WD) after she shot a 29-over par 100 to finish in 45th place.
