Women's Golf Opens Spring Season At Crusader Cup

Irving, Texas – The Centenary women's golf team opens its spring season in the Crusader Cup hosted by the University of Dallas on Monday at Hackberry Creek Country Club.

The Ladies and the rest of the field will be tested by the par 72, 5,800-yard layout and play 18 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday. The first round is set to tee off at 8:30 AM on Monday.
The Ladies will be joined in the event by the host Crusaders along with Concordia University, Howard Payne University, Schreiner University, Texas Lutheran University, Our Lady of the Lake University, McMurry University, Hardin-Simmons University, and LeTourneau University.
Centenary's lineup will consist of sophomore Haylee Crowder (Haughton, La.), sophomore Amber Shaw (Hughes Springs, Texas), freshman Gracie Evans (Lake Charles, La.), junior Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas), and freshman Zoe Garcia (Magnolia, Texas) who will be making her season debut.
FALL SEASON RECAP:
The Ladies finished seventh in the Abilene Intercollegiate hosted by Hardin-Simmons University Oct. 20-21 to cap their Fall season.
The Ladies shot a +142 (710) with a 79-over par 363 in the opening round followed by a final-round 63-over 347.
Shaw and Crowder tied for 28th place at 30-over par 172 to lead the way for the Ladies. Shaw shot rounds of 93-79 and Crowder went 87-85.
The rookie Evans finished in a tie for 33rd place at 32-over par 174 (87-87), and Templeton finished 40th at 50-over par 192 (96-96).
Centenary finished sixth in the 2025 SCAC Preview at Hawk's Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas Oct. 13-14. Crowder was the Ladies' top finisher as she tied for fifth place at 18-over par 162 as she shot rounds of 80-82.
The Ladies opened the fall portion of their schedule with a fourth-place finish in the 2025 Scots Fall Invitational Presented by Bank of Cave City on Sept. 29-30 and hosted by Lyon College in Batesville, Ark. Crowder earned a seventh-place finish after shooting a 28-over par 172 following rounds of 89-83.
Crowder's tie for fifth at the SCAC Preview was the first top-five finish of her career and she now has a pair of top-10 finishes this season following her seventh-place finish in the 2025 Scots Fall Invitational, which are her first top-10's in her young career.
