Centenary Ladies Gym Talk: Feb. 3 Edition
Hey Ladies’ fans this is Junior, Kendall Knaps back with this week’s gym talk! The Ladies had a great week of practice in preparation for meet week. We are so excited about finally getting to compete in the Dome for what is now our first meet of the season!

The Ladies had a great week of practice in preparation for meet week. We are so excited about finally getting to compete in the Dome for what is now our first meet of the season! We have had a lot of improvements and multiple rock stars in the gym. Shout out to freshman Izzie Plaza for getting this week's beast award. She has been pushing herself in the gym and getting herself ready for a line-up spot. Izzie, we are so proud of all of your hard work and we are so excited to see where this season takes you!
With that being said, on Saturday we had an in the Jills intra-squad. This was a great opportunity for the Ladies to get back into competition mode since we have had a few meets canceled due to COIVD. We are so ready to be back in the competition atmosphere, but we will definitely be missing the best fans in the world! I want to shoutout Leilani Johnson her awesome vault during the intra-squad. She is finally back and ready to compete after her surgery. Also, shoutout to freshman, Rylie Molina for being the lead off on three events after being put into the line-up last minute. The intra-squad wasn't the only fun thing that happened on Saturday night. Junior, Kendall Knaps… me hehe… sang the National Anthem at the Shreveport Mudbugs Hockey game. What a thrilling experience that was. I am so thankful for my roomie, Kendall Sanders, for being my support system through it… couldn't have done it without the knuckles!
We were back in the gym on Sunday and started our first event with the ROSE DESHLER catching her Tkatchev! The Ladies went crazy and celebrated because she has been working so hard to get that release back. We are all so proud of her, especially since it was her first day to release after coming back from quarantine!
The day is finally here, we will take on TWU and Air Force this Sunday. Reminder, no fans will be allowed at the Gold Dome, but be sure you catch the livestream and tag us on Instagram @centenarygymnastics to show us you supported!
