Nine Ladies Named 2019-20 WCGA Scholastic All-America Award Recipients
Nine Centenary gymnasts were named 2019-20 Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America Award recipients, the WCGA announced on Tuesday. These nine Ladies earned a 3.5 grade point average or better and over half of the team received this honor.
Shreveport – Nine Centenary gymnasts were named 2019-20 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Scholastic All-America Award recipients, the WCGA announced on Tuesday.
The nine Ladies honored are: Rose Deshler (Hastings, Minn.), Kendall Huff (Riviera, Texas), Jenny Jackson (Monticello, Fla.), Kendall Knaps (Prairieville, La.), Madison McCary (Ozark, Mo.), Dorothy Mims (Huntsville, Ala.), Kendall Sanders (Spring Branch, Texas), Kennedy Stephens (Bella Vista, Ark.), and Taylor Ann Wilson (Memphis, Tenn.)
These nine Ladies earned a 3.5 grade point average or better and over half of the team received this honor. Centenary also achieved an impressive 3.47 team GPA.
The team was previously recognized in the spring by the WCGA as three Ladies: Cami Bea Austin, Mims, and Sanders were named to the 2020 All-America Team, and head coach Jackie Fain was named the Regional Coach of the Year by the organization.
