Gymnastics Finishes Third on Friday Night in Conference Tri-Meet in Missouri
The Centenary Ladies gymnastics team placed third on Friday night in a tri-meet against fellow Midwest Independence Conference opponents Southeast Missouri and Illinois State at the Show Me Center.
Cape Girardeau, Mo. - The Centenary Ladies gymnastics team placed third on Friday night in a tri-meet against fellow Midwest Independence Conference opponents Southeast Missouri and Illinois State at the Show Me Center.
Centenary will face SEMO again on Sunday in a dual meet at 1 p.m. again at the Show Me Center. Live stats and live video will be available for the meet via the links below:

The Ladies earned an overall team score of 183.425 on Friday while host SEMO won the meet with a score of 195.050 and Illinois State placed second with a score of 194.125. Centenary earned a 47.575 overall score on floor, its highest in any of the four events. The Ladies recorded a 47.075 on vault, a 45.725 on beam, and a 43.050 on bars.
Ladies' Junior All-American Kendall Sanders (Spring Branch, Texas) finished fourth in the all-around with a score of 37.075. She earned a 9.650 on floor, her highest score of the night in any event. Senior Jerrica Harris (Memphis, Tenn.) had the Ladies' highest individual score of the meet as she earned a 9.675 on floor which tied her career high. Illinois State's Angelica Labat won the all-around competition with a score of 39.11, SEMO's Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso placed second with a total of 39.075, and Isabelle Fox of Illinois State placed third.
Sophomore Kendall Huff (Riviera, Texas) recorded a 9.550 on vault to lead the Ladies in the event. Senior Sierra Ponder (Stone Mountain, Ga.) led the way on bars with a 9.550 and sophomore Kennedy Stephens (Bella Vista, Ark.) scored a 9.625 on beam. Sophomore Rose Deshler (Hastings, Minn.) earned a 8.425 on beam, just off her career high mark of 8.45. Senior Jerrica Harris (Memphis, Tenn.) scored a season-best 9.675 on floor to tie her career-high mark.
