The Ladies (1-4) went winless this past weekend in the Millsaps College Volleyball Invitational in Jackson, Miss. as they lost to the host Majors, Lyon College, Belhaven University, and Huntingdon College.
The Tigers (11-0) are off to their best start in program history and went 3-0 in the Tiger Classic over the weekend in San Antonio. ETBU is ranked fifth in the latest AVCA/TARAFLEX Division III WVB Poll.
Centenary and ETBU met last season in Marshall, Texas as the Tigers recorded a 3-0 win. Centenary is back home for the first time since its season-opening win over the Wiley University Wildcats in four sets on Aug. 30.
Ladies' Season Statistical Leaders:
Aces: Junior OH/DS Destiny Labbe (Eunice, La.) and sophomore MB Laijah Rockward (Houma, La.) – 9 each
Assists: Freshman S Lillian Mycke (Athens, Texas) – 78

Kills: Freshman OH/DS Zoe Garcia (Magnolia, Texas) – 38
Labbe was solid all weekend for the Ladies in their four matches in the Millsaps College Volleyball Invitational as she had 21 digs, 21 kills, a pair of aces, and one assist and Mycke tallied 42 assists, 14 digs, and three aces. Garcia also had an impressive weekend as she recorded 24 kills, 10 digs, four assists, and one ace and totaled 25.5 points.
Rockward is tied for the team lead in aces, leads the team in total blocks, and has 18 kills along with seven digs and an assist. Garcia is the team leader in kills and has 18 digs, two total blocks, five assists, and a pair of aces. Mycke is sixth in the conference in assists with her 78 (4.88/game) and Labbe and Rockward are tied for ninth in aces with their nine each (0.56/game).
Sophomore S Jadyn Harris (Fort Worth, Texas) owns 25 digs, 16 assists, 16 kills, seven aces, and seven total blocks. Freshman MB Aley Dixon (White Oak, Texas) has 11 kills, seven total blocks and six digs and freshman DS/S Elize Castillo (Austin, Texas) has 26 digs, seven assists, and four aces. The Ladies rank fourth in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in aces (38/2.38/game)
