Ladies Swept On Sunday By UC Santa Cruz
The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference contest inside the Gold Dome.
Shreveport– The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the UC Santa Cruz Banana Slugs on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference contest inside the Gold Dome.
The Ladies (3-20) took a break from Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play after defeating the University of Dallas Crusaders in four sets at home on Saturday. The Banana Slugs improved to 10-15 with the win.
The Banana Slugs won the first set, 25-20, took the second set 25-18, and closed out the sweep in set three, 25-13.
Centenary finished with 25 digs, 17 assists, 17 kills, 10 services aces, and one solo block while UC Santa Cruz tallied 40 kills, 39 digs, 36 assists, 10 aces, and five solo blocks.

Aces: Sophomore S Jadyn Harris (Fort Worth, Texas), junior OH/DS Destiny Labbe (Eunice, La.), and freshman OH/DS Zoe Garcia (Magnolia, Texas) – 3 each

Kills: Dixon, Labbe, and Rockward – 4 each
Centenary returns to action on Tuesday evening with a conference match versus Austin College set for 7 PM in the Gold Dome.
