Ladies Swept By Eagles On Friday
The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the University of The Ozarks Eagles in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Friday evening inside Mabee Gymnasium.
Clarksville, Ark. – The Centenary volleyball team was swept by the University of The Ozarks Eagles in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Friday evening inside Mabee Gymnasium.
Despite recording a sweep, the match was very competitive as the Eagles edged the Ladies 26-24 in set one, took set two 25-19, and closed out the match with a 27-25 win in set three.
The Ladies (2-14, 1-8 SCAC) lost their seventh-straight match and fell to 0-8 on the road this season. Ozarks (4-11, 2-7 SCAC) snapped a seven-match losing streak and is now 3-1 at home this season.
Centenary finished with 49 digs, 30 kills, 26 assists, and seven service aces and Ozarks recorded 46 digs, 32 kills, 28 assists, five aces, and one solo block. The Ladies finished with an .086 kill percentage (20 errors and 30 kills in 116 total attacks) and the Eagles tallied a .218 kill % with 32 kills and eight errors in 110 total attacks.

The Ladies will face the Hendrix College Warriors on Saturday at 2 PM in Conway, Ark.
