Ladies Home This Weekend For Pair Of SCAC Matches
The Centenary volleyball team continues Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play this weekend as the Ladies will play a pair of home contests against Hendrix College (Saturday, Sept. 27 at NOON) and the University of the Ozarks (Sunday, Sept. 28 at 1 PM) inside the Gold Dome.

The Ladies (1-6, 0-1 SCAC) were swept in their conference opener at LeTourneau University on Tuesday evening in Longview, Texas and have lost six matches in a row after opening the season with a victory over Wiley University on Aug. 30.
Hendrix (8-1, 2-0 SCAC) won its first two conference matches of the season last weekend at home as the Warriors defeated Austin College (3-2) and the University of Dallas (3-0). The Warriors lead the all-time series with the Ladies, 5-1, as the teams will meet for the first time since the 2023 season.
Ladies' Season Statistical Leaders:
Aces: Sophomore S Jadyn Harris (Fort Worth, Texas) – 10
Assists: Freshman S Lillian Mycke (Athens, Texas) – 91
Blocks: Freshman MB Aley Dixon (White Oak, Texas) – 4
Digs: Junior OH/DS Destiny Labbe (Eunice, La.) – 45
Kills: Freshman OH/DS Zoe Garcia (Magnolia, Texas) – 49
Sophomore MB Laijah Rockward (Houma, La.) has 22 kills, 12 digs, nine aces, an assist, and a block this season and ranks in a tie for second on the team in aces and fourth in kills.
Harris, in addition to being the team leader in aces, has 28 assists (second on team), 25 kills (third on team), 29 digs (third on team), and tied for second on blocks with nine.
Mycke also has 23 digs and five aces to go with her team-best 91 assists and Dixon has 14 kills, one ace, one assist, and 12 digs. Labbe is also second on the team in kills (38), second in aces (nine), and four assists while Garcia has tallied 27 digs (fourth on team), seven assists, and a pair of aces.
Freshman DS/S Elizabeth Castillo (Austin, Texas) has recorded 30 digs (second on the team) with seven assists and four aces, freshman DS/L Isela Castillo (Arlington, Texas) has 12 digs, two aces, an assist, a kill, and junior S/DS Hannah Dimmel (Navasota, Texas) has seven digs, two aces, an assist, and one kill.
Ozarks (3-5, 1-1 SCAC) split with Austin College and Dallas at home last weekend as the Eagles defeated the Crusaders 3-2 and were swept 3-0 by the 'Roos. Ozarks will face LeTourneau on Saturday in Longview at 1 PM before heading to Shreveport for Sunday's match against the Ladies. Ozarks leads the all-time series with Centenary, winning the lone previous match in the 2021 season.
