BATON ROUGE�-Centenary men's basketball player Nick Stallings was named Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) player of the week on Thursday. The honor is the first for a Centenary basketball player this season.
Stallings, a native of New Orleans, averaged 28.5 points, six rebounds, and four 3-pointers per game last week. He scored a career-high 35 points against Southern Utah, which included a career-high five 3-pointers, and followed that up with 22 points against UMKC. He leads the team in rebounding with 135 on the year and is second on the squad with a scoring average of 15.9 points per contest.
