Ladies Defeat Mountaineers To Complete Series Sweep
The Centenary softball team completed a three-game series sweep in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday with an 8-4 victory over the Schreiner University Mountaineers at the Centenary Softball Complex.

Shreveport - The Centenary softball team completed a three-game series sweep in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Friday with an 8-4 victory over the Schreiner University Mountaineers at the Centenary Softball Complex.
The Ladies (3-2, 3-0 SCAC) put the finishing touches on their impressive series over the Mountaineers (2-7, 0-3 SCAC) after a pair of dominating run-rule victories in a doubleheader on Thursday, winning game one 12-1 in five innings and 12-4 in six innings as Centenary has won eight of the last nine games in the series.
Centenary will return to action next weekend in the Belhaven University Tournament in Jackson, Miss.
