Ladies Back Home In SCAC Play To Face Hendrix College
The Centenary softball team is back home this weekend in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play as the Ladies will face the Hendrix College Warriors in a three-game series beginning on Thursday at 5 PM at the Centenary Softball Complex.

Shreveport - The Centenary softball team is back home this weekend in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play as the Ladies will face the Hendrix College Warriors in a three-game series beginning on Thursday with a doubleheader set for 5 & 7 PM at the Centenary Softball Complex.
The Ladies (4-8, 4-2 SCAC) and Warriors (2-8, 0-6 SCAC) will finish the series with a single game on Friday at 3 PM. Live stats and live video are available for all three games of the series at the links below:

The Ladies salvaged the final game of a three-game series against the Concordia University Tornados, 5-4, on Sunday in Austin, Texas as they rebounded after being swept in a doubleheader on Saturday, falling 8-0 in six innings in game one and 9-0 in five innings in game two.
Centenary is 3-0 at home this season after recording a sweep over Schreiner University Feb. 12-13, outscoring the Mountaineers 32-9. The series included a pair of dominating run-rule victories in a doubleheader 12-1 in five innings and 12-4 in six innings and an 8-4 win in the series finale. Nine of the Ladies' first 12 games this season have been road/neutral contests.
The Ladies are hitting .292 as a team with a .367 OBP and slugging percentage of .371 with 21 doubles, one triple, 30 walks, 55 runs scored, 85 hits, four sacrifice flies, and are 15-16 in stolen base opportunities.
TOP HITTER:
Sophomore SS/C Kaitlynn Alello (Denham Springs, La.) leads the Ladies in batting average as she is hitting .435 (.581 OBP/.609 slugging) with 10 hits (third on team), six RBI (third on team), and four doubles (tied for team lead).
TOP PITCHER:
Senior P/OF Alexis Roach (Pineville, La.) is tied for the team lead in appearances (six) and leads the team in starts (five) and is 1-1 with a 5.85 ERA.
Junior UT Hilary Pillaro (Centerville, La.) and senior LF Laine Sullivan (Prairieville, La.) share the team lead in stolen bases (four) and neither has been caught yet this season. Sullivan's nine runs scored is tops on the team and senior 3B Morgan Dawson (Natchitoches, La.) leads the team in total bases (16) and hits (12) and tied with Alello in doubles (four).
Senior UT Emma Crow (Krotz Springs, La.) is the team leader in RBI (eight) and tied for fourth in hits (nine). Senior 2B/SS Catherine Stokes (Natchitoches, La.) and senior C/IF Jaeden Thrasher (Forney, Texas) are tied for second in RBI with seven each.
The Ladies were picked to finish fifth in the conference preseason poll while the Warriors were predicted to finish seventh. The 2026 SCAC Softball Tournament will be held May 1-3 in Abilene, Texas and hosted by McMurry University. The top six teams in the standings at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the event. The Ladies have now made nine-consecutive SCAC Tournament appearances.
LAST MEETING:
The teams split a DH last season in Conway, Ark. as Hendrix won 6-5 in eight innings in game one and the Ladies took game two, 4-3.
Thursday marks the first meeting between the Ladies and Warriors as conference opponents.
