Softball To Face LeTourneau On Road This Weekend
The Centenary softball team is on the road this weekend in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play as the Ladies are set to face the LeTourneau University YellowJackets beginning on Friday with the series opener set for 6 PM at the LETU Softball Field inside the Joyce Family Athletic Village.
Longview, Texas - The Centenary softball team is on the road this weekend in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play as the Ladies are set to face the LeTourneau University YellowJackets beginning on Friday with the series opener set for 6 PM at the LETU Softball Field inside the Joyce Family Athletic Village.
The Ladies (6-9, 6-3 SCAC) and YellowJackets (4-12, 3-9 SCAC) will finish the series with a doubleheader on Saturday at NOON. Live stats and live video are available for all three games of the series at the links below:

LAST TIME OUT:
The Ladies took two of three at home against the Hendrix College Warriors last weekend, sweeping them in a DH as they rallied to win game one by a score of 4-3 and taking game two 6-2. Hendrix salvaged game three 7-4 to hand Centenary its first home loss of the season.
Centenary has been impressive at home with a 5-1 record and has outscored the opposition 46-21, but the Maroon and White have struggled so far on the road with a 1-6 record. LeTourneau is 3-2 at home this season and split a DH at home against Millsaps College on Tuesday in its most recent action.
SERIES HISTORY:
LeTourneau has controlled the series, winning 17 of 22 all-time games, but Centenary swept a DH at home last season. This weekend marks the first meeting between the programs as conference opponents.
PRESEASON PICKS:
The Ladies were picked to finish fifth in the conference preseason poll while the YellowJackets were predicted to finish sixth. The 2026 SCAC Softball Tournament will be held May 1-3 in Abilene, Texas and hosted by McMurry University. The top six teams in the standings at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the event. The Ladies have now made nine-consecutive SCAC Tournament appearances. Centenary sits in fifth place entering the weekend and LeTourneau is tied for eighth.
The Ladies are hitting .295 as a team with a .373 OBP and slugging percentage of .382 with 30 doubles, one triple, 36 walks, 69 runs scored, 109 hits, six sacrifice flies, and are 19-20 in stolen base opportunities.
Sophomore SS/C Kaitlynn Alello (Denham Springs, La.) leads the Ladies in batting average as she is hitting .433 (.564 OBP/.600 slugging) with 13 hits (second on team), seven RBI (third on team), and five doubles (tied for team lead).
Freshman P/1B Dixie Williams (Haughton, La.) is 2-0 with a 5.00 ERA in five appearances and two starts. She is the team leader in ERA and tied for the team lead in wins.
Senior P/OF Alexis Roach (Pineville, La.) is tied for the team lead in wins, leads the team in appearances (eight) and starts (five) and is 2-1 with a 5.88 ERA and has the teams' lone save.
Senior UT Emma Crow (Krotz Springs, La.) is 1-4 in six appearances and two starts with a 7.17 ERA, freshman P/INF Haydyn Schexnayder (Egan, La.) is 1-2 with a 6.05 ERA in seven appearances and four starts and senior P Riley Myers (Shreveport, La.) is 0-2 with a 7.00 ERA in six appearances and a pair of starts. Roch and Schexnayder are tied for the team lead in strikeouts with eight and Roach leads the away in innings pitched (25.0) while Schexnayder is second (22.0 IP).
Senior 3B Morgan Dawson (Natchitoches, La.) leads the team in hits (15) and total bases (20) and is tied for second in RBI (8). She is also tied for the team lead in doubles (5) with Alello and has scored four runs and stolen one base. Dawson is hitting .385 with a .422 OBP and is slugging .513.
Senior 2B/SS Catherine Stokes (Natchitoches, La.) is the team leader in RBI (9) and is tied for second in hits (13). She is batting .302 (.388 OBP/.349 slugging) with two doubles, five walks, 15 total bases, nine runs scored (second on team), and one stolen base. Senior P/UT Abigail Hodgson (Florence, Texas) is hitting .324 (.400 OBP/.432 slugging) and is second on the team in RBI (8) and third in hits (12). Her four doubles and six walks both rank second and she has 16 total bases and three runs scored.
Junior UT Hilary Pillaro (Centerville, La.) is hitting .342 (.447 OBP/.447 slugging) with 13 hits (tied for second on team) with five RBI, a team-high seven BB and a team-leading six stolen bases in six attempts. She also has 17 total bases, two doubles, one triple, and eight runs scored. Senior C/IF Jaeden Thrasher (Forney, Texas) is batting .294 (.286 OBP/.382 slugging) with 10 hits, 13 total bases, eight RBI (tied for second on team), three doubles, three runs scored, and one stolen base.
