The Centenary softball team takes a break from Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Tuesday as the Ladies welcome Howard Payne University to town for a non-conference doubleheader set for 4 & 6 PM at the Centenary Softball Complex.

The Ladies enter Tuesday's play at 7-11 overall while the Yellow Jackets, on a seven-game losing streak, are 2-10. Centenary is 5-2 at home this season and Howard Payne is 1-5.
The Ladies are hitting .288 as a team with a .366 OBP and slugging percentage of .361 with 31 doubles, one triple, 45 walks, 76 runs scored, 131 hits, six sacrifice flies, and are 23-24 in stolen base opportunities.
SERIES HISTORY:
The teams split a DH during the 2023 season in Brownwood, Texas and also played once in the Hardin Simmons University/McMurry University Spring Break Tournament on March 12, 2021.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Centenary returns to conference play this weekend with a three-game series at home against the University of Dallas. The series begins on Friday with a DH at 4 & 6 PM and concludes on Saturday with a single game at NOON. The Crusaders are 1-10 overall and 1-10 in SCAC play as all 11 of their contests this season have been in league play.
