Brevard, N.C. - Brevard College head women's basketball coach Bill Wilson announced today that Lindsay Brendle has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Brevard College.
Lindsay Brendle (High Point, NC) is a 5-9 guard that is a four year letter winner for the girl's basketball program at High Point Central High School under Head Coach Kenny Carter. In her senior season, Brendle averaged 15.4 points per game, 5.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists, while also shooting a stellar 39% from the three-point line.
The senior co-captain was named to the All-Metro 4-A First Team as well as the All HP Enterprise team. She was also honored with All-County and All-District honors and was named to the All-Northwest North Carolina Team. Brendle helped lead High Point Central to the state finals as a freshman in 2005.
Academically Brendle is an Honor Roll recipient and has qualified for National Beta Club.
"Lindsay is a great competitor that will make an immediate impact in our program," commented Head Coach Bill Wilson. "She shoots the three very well and has the strength to battle inside, a combination that fits into our system very well. She is going to be a great addition to Brevard College and our basketball program!"
Brendle will make her debut for the Tornado women's basketball team in 2008-09.
