SHREVEPORT - It continues to be a busy early signing period for the Centenary women's basketball team and head coach Steve Curtis, who signed 6-foot-2 Natasa Draganic (Niksic, Montenegro) out of Cowley County Community College to a National Letter of Intent on Monday.
Draganic, who is the second student-athlete to sign with the Ladies for the 2008-09 season, joins Megan Daniel from Houston.
The Niksic, Montenegro, native played in 14 games last season before being sidelined with an injury. In her fifth game this season, Draganic scored a season-high 10 points and was 4-for-5 from the field in the 51-33 win over Kansas Wesleyan on Nov. 13.
"I'm pleased to have signed Natasa early," said Curtis. "She has all the potential in the world, because of she has size. Along with her height she can also shoot, pass, dribble and rebound, and I think she will be a good fit for our program."
Centenary's next game will be on Tuesday when it travels to UT-Pan American for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
