SHREVEPORT�- The tough luck continues for the Centenary women's soccer team as it lost to North Dakota State 3-0 on Sunday afternoon in Summit League play. The Ladies offense produced seven shots, while the defense was anchored by senior Ali Hilsher, who made six saves.
Offensively, Centenary (5-11-2, 0-5-2) was led by sophomore Lauren Cheaney, senior Bre Fletcher and freshman Caroline Klara, who had combined to put three shots on goal. North Dakota State's (11-6-1, 3-3-1) offense came from Candice D'Arcangeli, who scored the game winning goal in the 38th minute.
The Ladies put two shots on goal in the first half and one in second, while the Bison had three in each period. NDSU's keeper Monica Morgan made all thee stops and combined with Jessica Nei for the shutout.
With the loss Centenary is now eliminated from postseason contention, and it will close out the regular season at home on Nov. 2 against Western Illinois. Prior to the 7 p.m. start there will be �'Senior Day' presentations for Hilsher, Fletcher and Cori Dullnig.
