ELMHURST, Ill. �- Sophomore pitcher Boone Whiting was named The Summit League's co-Pitcher of the Week after his two outstanding performances last week against No. 1 Texas A&M and Northern Iowa.
Whiting had a 0.84 ERA and collected a career-high 10 strikeouts in four innings for Centenary at A&M. The Oakdale, Calif., native allowed just one run in 10.2 innings of work last week and also fanned nine in 6.2 innings against UNI on Sunday.
The Gents will be back in action on Saturday at Jackson State for a doubleheader beginning at 12 p.m.
