Anderson, S.C. - Kim Koivu tied for the lowest round on the final day of the Anderson University Invitational and dropped six strokes off his first round total in carding a 71 as he led the Tornados to a ninth place finish in their first action in the 2011 season.
Koivu's 71 put him in a tie for sixth overall in the tournament, finishing with a two round total of 148.
Michael Stamper finished the tournament tied for 30th overall, finishing with a 156 overall in the event, while T.J. Hoard dropped four strokes off his first round total in finishing tied for 35th overall with a 158.
Thomas Rennie made the third biggest improvement in the tournament from round one to round two, dropping 10 strokes from his first round score in carding a 75 in his final round to finish tied for 39th overall.
The Tornados are back on the course as they begin action on Sunday, September 19th, at the Pfeiffer Fall Intercollegiate in Misenheimer, N.C.
