Gents 13th After Two Rounds In Rhodes Fall Invitational
The Centenary men's golf team shot a 60-over par 636 to sit in 13th place on Sunday in the opening round of the Rhodes Fall Invitational as the Gents officially opened their Fall Season at Tunica National Golf and Tennis Club.

The field includes the Gents, the host Rhodes' "A" and "B" teams, Belhaven University, the University of Dallas, Hardin-Simmons University, Hendrix College, Mississippi University for Women (MUW), Transylvania, Rose-Hulman, Texas Lutheran University, and Webster.
Sunday's action at the par 72, 6,995-yard course consisted of 36 holes on Monday and will feature the final 18 holes on Monday starting at 8:30 AM. Transylvania University, ranked 17th nationally in the latest Bushnell/Golfweek DIII Coaches Poll, shot a 3-over par 579 to hold the team lead and is six shots ahead of the host Lynx (9-over par 585). Andy Steed (Transylvania) is the individual leader at 4-under par 140, one shot ahead of Rhodes' Christian Iwai and Dallas' Iain Griggs (3-under par 141). Eight golfers are currently at even par or better.
Junior Aubrey Snell (Shreveport, La.) withdrew so the Gents' lineup consisted of four - senior Jeffrey Borchert (Katy, Texas), senior Colton Mayer (Heath, Texas), freshman Trey Bishop (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and freshman Mason Wiener (Holland, Pa.).
The rookie Bishop shot the Gents' lowest score on Sunday as he finished at 8-over par 153 (77-76) and is tied for 34th place. Mayer shot a 19-over 163 (83-80) and is tied for 62nd place, Borchert is tied for 64th after shooting a 20-over 164 (81-83), and Wiener is 70th at 23-over par 167 (85-82).
