Gents Third After One Round In Belhaven Invitational
The Centenary men's golf team shot a 14-over par 302 on Monday in round one of the Belhaven Invitational as the Gents are in third place headed to Tuesday’s final round at The Refuge Golf Club.

The Gents are seven shots behind the leader Texas Lutheran University (7-over par 295) and six behind Hinds Community College (6-over 296). Millsaps College is in fourth place, four shots behind Centenary at 18-over par 306.
The host Blazers are seventh after shooting a 23-over par 311, Jackson State University and McMurry University are tied for fifth (+21 – 309), Belhaven's "B" team is eighth (+31 – 319), Covenant College (Ga.) is ninth (+42 – 330), Andrew College (Ga.) is 10th (+43 – 331), and Millsaps' "B" squad is 11th at +46 – 334.
TLU's Brandon Munson is the individual leader at 3-under par 69 and is two strokes ahead if his teammate, Cooper Hollomon (1-under par 71). Three golfers (Christopher Cain of Hinds, Chase Allison of McMurry, and Stephen Faucheaux of Hinds) are tied for third-place at even par 72.
Junior Aubrey Snell (Shreveport, La.) and senior Hahn Bridges (Sterlington, La.) paced the Gents on Monday as they each shot a 3-over par 75 and are tied for seventh place. Two others – JSU's JD Berndt and Millsaps' Jason Howe are also tied for seventh place.
Senior Jeffrey Borchert (Katy, Texas) and freshman Mason Wiener (Holland, Pa.) are two of nine golfers tied for 11th place at 4-over par 76. Freshman Trey Bishop (Oklahoma City, Okla.) shot a 22-over 94 and is in 58th place and senior Parker Christensen (Castle Rock, Colo.) is playing as an individual and shot a 28-over par 100 and is in 60th place.
Tuesday's final round will begin at 9 AM.
