The Ladies are coming off a 7-2 loss to non-conference foe, Stephen F. Austin on Wednesday night as they fell to 8-15 overall and are 2-4 in the Summit League.
Centenary is led offensively by junior Sara Dornelas with a .345 clip and a team-leading 20 hits. Senior Haley Bassett follows with a .308 average and a team-best 15 runs scored and nine walks.
Dornelas also controls the tempo on the mound for the Ladies, tossing 88.0 innings. She owns a 3.98 ERA and a 7-10 record.
As a team, Centenary is hitting .244, but are being outscored 127 to 81.
IPFW enters the weekend series with a 13-10 record and a 5-1 mark in league play.
Offensively, Kristina Karpun is batting .373 with a team-best 25 hits and six home runs, while teammates Rachel Staschuk (.350 BA) and Sara Hopwood (.338) are hitting above the .300 mark.
All three IPFW pitchers hold an ERA under 3.00 as Courtney Cronin has seen the majority of the time, garnering a 2.64 ERA and a 7-6 overall record through 69.0 innings pitched. Amanda Olender owns a 2.31 ERA and Staschuk has pitched for a 2.89 ERA.
The Mastodons and Ladies will meet for the seventh time as the series is split 3-3.
Following the weekend series, Centenary will return home to host Louisiana Tech on Wednesday at 6:00 pm.
