The Ladies (9-26) were held hitless until the bottom of the fourth when freshman Kelsey Regan doubled down the left field line for Centenary's only hit of the game.
Junior Sara Dornelas (4.0,6,6,4,0,1) started and tossed 4.0 innings, giving up four earned runs on six hits with one strikeout for the loss, while junior Lauren Highsmith (1.0,3,2,2,0,2) pitched the final inning, allowing two runs on three hits with two strikeouts.
Central Arkansas broke open the game with a run in the first inning after the Ladies committed three errors. The Bears would then go on to score two more in the third on a two-RBI sacrifice fly to center field.
Ahead 3-0, Central Arkansas continued to plate runs, going up 8-0 with three in the fourth and two in the fifth on seven hits and one error.
The Bears put up nine hits to the Ladies one, led by Candice Gauntt and Melissa Bryant with two hits apiece.
Kelsie Armstrong (5.0,1,0,0,2,5) of Central Arkansas earned the win after tossing 5.0 innings, allowing no runs on just one hit with five strikeouts.
Centenary will have the weekend off before returning to play next Wednesday at Northwestern State beginning at 6:00 pm in non-conference action.
