Brevard, N.C. - The Brevard College Sport Information Department and Coach Britne Stubbs are pleased to announce that Leslie Hylton has committed to attend Brevard College and play softball.
Hylton is a 5'7 first baseman from Charlotte, NC where she attended and played softball at South Mecklenburg High School under Coach James Adkins. During her 2009 senior campaign she posted a .329 batting average, 14 RBI, and 3 homeruns for the Sabres. She was team captain and achieved All-Conference honors her senior and junior years. Coach Britne Stubbs is excited to welcome Hylton to the Tornado program.
"We are extremely delighted to welcome Leslie to the Brevard College Softball family this year. Her strong work ethic and positive attitude will help us continue to grow as a team. Also, she has an impressive resume in the classroom and has a lot of potential to help the team both on and off the field."
Hylton graduated with Honors in the top 15% of her class at South Mecklenburgh. She was also a member of National Honors Society, National Art Honors Society, and Beta Club. In addition, she was an assitant coach for Park Sharon community 12U softball team.
