BASEBALL
The Diamond Gents finished 21-21 overall and 16-14 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play and appeared in the SCAC Tournament for the 12th time in the division III era (2012-present).
Centenary won 20+ games in a season for the 10th time since 2013 and its 16 league wins marks the ninth time the Maroon and White won 13 or more conference regular-season games since 2013.

Sophomore DH Turner Mclelland (Minden, La.)
Menard was named All-SCAC Second Team and led the Diamond Gents in batting average and OBP and was the team leader in walks this past season. He had nine multi-hit performances and was 4-4 in stolen base attempts. The senior had seven games with two+ walks and five multi-RBI games and finished his career as a three-time All-conference selection. He hit .333 (.454 OBP/.367 SLG) with 40 hits, 19 RBI, 27 BB, and four doubles.
Garritt Romero had an impressive rookie campaign as he played in the field and pitched, playing in 41 games. He went 2-3 with a 3.76 ERA on the mound in 13 appearances and 12 starts with 37 strikeouts in 81.1 IP and was named the SCAC Pitcher of the Week on April 27. He also hit .287 with one home run, 16 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
Treyson Martin blossomed in his sophomore campaign as he finished 8-2 with a 4.19 ERA in 24 appearances and five starts on the mound. He had one save and struck out 38 in 62.1 IP and was named the SCAC Pitcher of the Week on April 13. Coen Laroux was a weapon out of the bullpen all season as he made 20 appearances and was 6-3 with a 3.26 ERA with two saves and struck out 45 in 38.2 IP.
Ethan Hopkins was the Diamond Gents' everyday first baseman and hit seven home runs which are tied for the fourth-most in a single season in the division III era (2012-present) in program history. He hit .302 with 37 RBI, 32 runs scored, and nine doubles as one of the league's top rookies. The combination of Birkelbach, Paulson, Sartor, Bienvenu, and McLelland produced 12 home runs, 129 RBI, and 60 extra-base hits.
MEN'S GOLF
The Gents shot 54-over par 774 to finish ninth in the 2026 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in April at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Westworth Village, Texas. The final round was shortened to nine holes due to rain.
Senior Jeffrey Borchert (Katy, Texas) and junior Aubrey Snell (Shreveport, La.) each earned top-25 finishes in the 2026 SCAC Championships on April 21 as Borchert tied for 19th place and Snell tied for 23rd. Snell continues his impressive career as he recorded four top-10 finishes and five top-15 finishes this past season.
Snell was also named to the 2025-26 Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana Men's College Golf team, the organization announced last month. Snell is the first Centenary golfer to be named All-Louisiana since former Gent Andrew Bennett earned First-Team honors in 2024 and earned the prestigious honor for the first time in his career.
Senior Parker Christensen (Castle Rock, Colo.) was selected the SCAC Character and Community Male Student Athlete of the Week on March 9. The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.
Senior Colton Mayer (Heath, Texas) was named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large team by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced last month.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. Mayer, a Busines major, was named to the prestigious team for the first time in his career. He is also a member of the SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll and the Dean's List.
GYMNASTICS
The Ladies had another impressive season under the leadership of fourth-year head coach Meg Crowley. Centenary, as always, displayed outstanding academic achievement in the classroom.
Fourteen gymnasts were named 2026 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships Scholar-Athletes. These outstanding student-athletes hold either a cumulative 3.3 GPA or Fall semester GPA of 3.3. Seven Ladies had 4.0 GPAs in the fall semester:

Skyla Cruz and senior Amy Foret were each named First Team WCGNI All-Americans following their appearances in the individual Finals of the 2026 Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships in April.
Senior Claire Flores, sophomore Anna Ichiba and junior Olivia Williams also qualified for the championships. Individuals who qualified for the national championships were determined by their National Qualifying Score (NQS) in respective events. Cruz qualified on beam, Foret on beam, floor, and Vault, Flores on floor and vault, Ichiba on beam, and Williams on floor.
Centenary's three seniors each earned prestigious individual postseason awards at the 2026 Midwest Independent Conference (MIC) pre-championship banquet prior to the meet:
Senior Claire Flores was co-recipient of the Sylvia Keiter Award, senior Amy Foret was named Senior Athlete of the Year, and senior Olivia Stratmann was named MIC Woman of the Year.
Four Ladies were the recipient of the Coaches' Choice Award, one of the four individual honors that the conference chooses on a weekly basis, this past season:

Ichiba also won the "Performance of the Week" honor on Jan. 21.
Four gymnasts were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large team by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced last month.
Skyla Cruz, Anna Ichiba, Olivia Montgomery, and Olivia Stratmann were each named to the prestigious team. Cruz, Ichiba, and Montgomery each earned a spot on the team for the first time while Stratmann was recognized for the second time.
LACROSSE
The Gents finished their season with a 10-4 record, their most successful one in program history. Centenary finished as one of the top offensive teams in the country this season with 246 goals, 150 assists, and 396 points as the Maroon and White averaged just under 18 goals per game as six players scored 10+ goals each this season.
Sophomore A Gamble Harvill (Bossier City, La.) scored an NCAA single-game record 14 goals in Centenary's 21-11 victory over the Hendrix on Feb. 7. Harvill stands alone in NCAA history across all three divisions (DI, DII, and DIII) for goals in a single game, as the previous mark was 13 accomplished four other DIII players and one D2 player. No division 1 player has ever scored more than 11 goals in a game, accomplished four times.
Freshman FO Gavin Ferrington (Bossier City, La.) and sophomore A Noah Walsh (Mount Prospect, Ill.) were each named USA Lacrosse NCAA Division III men's All-Americans, earning Honorable-Mention honors.
Ferrington turned in a fantastic rookie season as he played in 14 games and led the country in face-off winning % (.823) as he won 218 of 265 attempts. He added nine goals and three assists. He recorded a program-best 95 % Faceoff Winning Percentage against Hendrix College on Feb. 7.
Walsh started 13 games and had a stellar season as he scored 52 goals and added 80 assists for a total of 132 points. He led the country in assists and assists per game and was sixth in goals per game and top 10 in goals scored. He scored multiple goals in 12 of his 13 games with a season-best eight in his Gents' debut on Jan. 31 against LaGrange College.
Walsh set a new program record for points in a game with 15 with his whopping eight goals and seven assists in Centenary's 27-10 victory over LaGrange and he then notched a single-game record 11 assists against Hendrix, the sixth-most in a single game by a DIII player in NCAA history.
Ferrington and Walsh were each named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association 2026 Division III Men's Lacrosse Team of the Week during the season as Walsh was honored twice and Ferrington once.
Junior M Ethan Hewett (Bossier City, La.) was named to the USILA Team of the Week on March 11. Noah Walsh, Gavin Ferrington, and Gamble Harvill made the team on Feb. 19.
Gavin Ferrington recorded a program-best 95 % Faceoff Winning Percentage in Centenary's 21-11 victory over the Hendrix College Warriors on Feb. 7.
Noah Walsh tallied a single-game record 11 assists against Hendrix and set a new program record for points in a game with 15 following eight goals and seven assists in Centenary's 27-10 victory over LaGrange College on Jan. 31. His 15 points are the sixth-most in a single game by a D3 player in NCAA history and Walsh's 11 assists are also the sixth-most in a single game by a DIII player in NCAA history.
Sophomore MF Cooper Harris (Lexington, Ky.) was named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's At-Large team by the College Sports Communicators. Harris, in his first season with the Gents, played in all 14 matches this past season and scored 15 goals and tallied seven assists for a total of 22 points. Harris was named to the prestigious team for the first time in his career.
STUNT
The Centenary STUNT team finished its second season in historic fashion with run in April at the National Tournament in Nashville, Tenn. USA Cheer hosted the STUNT National Championship Tournament from April 23-26 at Lipscomb University. The Ladies entered the tournament as the #6 seed after finishing their regular season with an 8-9 record.
The Ladies held the number five ranking for five weeks straight in the regular season and dropped to number six one week prior to the tournament announcement. The Ladies made history on Feb. 8 as they competed at home for the first time in program history, as they faced Muskingum University and McNeese State University inside the Gold Dome. Along with playing at home for the first time ever, the team also played its first full STUNT game in program history, playing 16 rounds of play in game one.
Junior Kaitlynne Anderson (Carlisle, Pa.) and freshman KaNeya Hatcher-Davis (Forrest City, Ark.) were named to the STUNT National Championship Tournament All-Tournament Team. The All-Tournament Team selections are nominated by their coaches based on their power rankings from the tournament and selected based on their excellent performance at the National Championships. Both Anderson and Hatcher-Davis were Honorable-Mention selections.
Four Centenary STUNT student-athletes were named College STUNT Coaches Association Division III Second-Team All-Americans - Kaitlynne Anderson, senior Jo Hoffman (Ragley, La.), junior Amelia Jones (Haughton, La.), and freshman Kelsey McPherson (New Orleans, La.) earned All-American status.
Student-athletes receiving this honor must have participated in two out of the four quarters of competition, participated in at least 75% of games played, must have been a vital component to the teams' success and have that shown by their routines and the teams nominating athletes must have qualified for the national championship.
Nine Centenary STUNT student-athletes were named to the College STUNT Coaches Association Division III Academic Honor Roll. Student-athletes must have completed at least 24 credit hours and have maintained an overall GPA of a 3.5 or higher. The nine Ladies are listed below:

WOMEN'S GOLF
The Ladies shot a 124-over par 844 to finish fifth in the SCAC Championships.
Sophomore Haylee Crowder (Haughton, La.) led the Ladies as she tied for ninth place at 20-over par 200. Crowder earned Honorable-Mention All-SCAC honors and earned her fourth-career top-10 finish. Freshman Gracie Evans (Lake Charles, La.) tied for 16th place at 27-over par 207.
Sophomore Amber Shaw (Hughes Springs, Texas) and junior Jordyn Templeton (Columbus, Texas) were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large team by the College Sports Communicators.
Shaw and Templeton have both excelled in the classroom in their careers. Both were named to the 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team by the Women's Golf Coaches Association and was also named to the SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll and are members of the Dean's List. Templeton and Shaw were each named to the prestigious team for the first time in their careers.
MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
The Gents finished ninth with 15 pointsin the SCAC Championships in April on the campus of McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.
Sophomore Jay Scott (Slidell, La.) had an impressive season for the Gents as he was named the SCAC named Men's Co-Track Athlete of the Week (March 31) and the SCAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week (March 17).
He was also named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Cross Country/Track & Field Team by the College Sports Communicators. Scott is majoring in Philosophy and Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies and is also a member of the football team and was named to the CSC All-District® Football Team in January. Scott was also announced as a member of the SCAC Spring Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll on Monday.
WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD
The Ladies finished 11th with three points in the SCAC Championships. Sophomore Grayson Shugart (McKinney, Texas) finished 11th in the long jump (4.66m) and sophomore Gabrielle Malagarie (Lafayette, La.) finished 13th (4.56m).
Shugart also finished sixth in the triple jump (10.26m) and 14th in the 400-meter dash (1:03.54) while Malagarie finished ninth in the high jump (1.42m).
Shugart was named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Cross Country/Track & Field Team by the College Sports Communicator. She is an Elementary Education major who earned a spot on the prestigious team for the first time.
SOFTBALL
The Ladies finished 16-24 overall and 14-16 in SCAC play and made their 10th-consecutive SCAC Tournament appearance. Centenary went 0-2 at the event held in Abilene, Texas.
The Ladies recorded 14 conference wins this past season, the most in a single season in the D3 era. Six Ladies were named All-SCAC and are listed below:

The Ladies had a 3.36 team GPA for the Fall semester with six players boasting a perfect 4.0 GPA. Four of the six were seniors and 11 players were named to the Dean's List and seven are seniors.
Abigail Hodgson was named the SCAC Softball Hitter-of-the-Week on April 13 and was one of the conference's top first basemen this past season. was 12th in the league in RBI, top 30 in batting average, and was one of the best defensive players with only three errors in 276 total chances with 261 putouts. She had nine multi-hit games during the season highlighted by a career-best four against McMurry University on April 10 and posted six multi-RBI games.
Five Ladies were named to the 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams by the College Sports Communicators - Emma Crow (Krotz Springs, La.), Morgan Dawson, Abigail Hodgson, senior P Alexis Roach (Pineville, La.), and senior LF Laine Sullivan (Prairieville, La.). Crow and Sullivan each made the prestigious team for the second time in their career, Dawson for the first time, Hodgson for the third time, and Roach for the first time.
*An impressive 173 Ladies and Gents were named Academic All-Conference in the 2025-26 season and 25 were named Academic All-America.
