The Fall sports season has come and gone, so let's take a look back at the highlights …
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
The Gents capped their season with an 11th-place finish in the 2025 SCAC Championship on Nov. 1 in Prairie View, Texas
The event, featuring an 8k race, was hosted by The University of St. Thomas and run on the campus of Prairie View A&M.
Freshman Zack Wroten (Benton, La.) had the Gents' top finish as he ran a time of 30.54.30 to finish 88th, freshman Ian Hunter (Princeton, Texas) finished in 92nd place (32.28.30), and sophomore Phillip Hughes (Bossier City, La.) finished 98th (34.48.60).
Sophomore Evan Halbert (Pearl River, La.) finished 103rd (38.01.0), sophomore Clayton Hancock (Buna, Texas) finished 105th (38.40.5), and freshman Sawyer Mathews (DeRidder, La.) was 108th (43:11.20).
The rookie Wroten recorded the Gents' top finish in all five meets during the season.
VOLLEYBALL
The Ladies, under the guidance of second-year head coach Kayla Black and first-year assistant coach Joshua Spivey, finished 3-23 overall and 2-14 in SCAC play.
Centenary finished with 927 digs, 661 kills, 604 assists, 161 service aces, and 75 total blocks. The Ladies' 161 aces are tied for the ninth-most in a season in the division III era (2011-present) and their 1.92 aces per set ranks second. The Ladies finished sixth in the conference in service aces.

The sophomore Harris flourished in her first season with the Ladies as her 0.58 aces/set led the conference and ranked 98th nationally as well as ranking second all-time in the D3 era and her 48 total aces are third. She added 211 assists (2.54 assists/set), 143 digs, 92 kills, and 19 total blocks as she was top five on the team in assists, digs, and kills.
Dixon, Garcia, and Mycke along with freshman DS/S Elizabeth Castillo (Austin, Texas), freshman OH Bella Baker (White Oak, Texas) and freshman DS/L Isela Castillo (Arlington, Texas) formed an impressive rookie class and junior S/DS Hannah Dimmel (Navasota, Texas) had a solid season as she played in 23 matches and totaled 73 digs, 15 aces, 10 assists, and three kills. Junior OH/DS Destiny Labbe (Eunice, La.) was impressive in her first season for the Maroon and White as she ranked second on the team in aces (30), digs (156), and kills (162) and added 12 total blocks and 12 assists.
Garcia, the team leader in both digs and kills, also finished third on the team in aces (26) and added 22 assists and 13 total blocks to post a solid rookie campaign. Dixon, the leader in solo blocks, was second on the team in total blocks (32), fifth in kills (67), and added 30 digs, seven aces, and seven assists.
Mycke, the team leader in assists, finished fourth on the team in digs – 107. Baker had 47 digs, 42 kills, 10 total blocks and seven assists and Rockward, the team leader in total blocks, added 96 kills (third on team), 20 digs, 12 aces, and five assists. Elizabeth Castillo finished third on team in assists (25) and fifth in digs (104) and added 11 aces. Isela Castillo had 55 digs, 11 assists, four aces, and a pair if kills.
MEN'S SOCCER
The Gents finished their season at 7-9-2 overall and 5-6 in SCAC play and were in contention for a conference tournament berth on the last day of the regular season. Centenary needed a victory over the University of St. Thomas in Houston but fell 4-2. Despite the disappointment on the final day of the season, the 2025 campaign was a success in many ways.
Centenary's seven wins are tied for third-most in a single season in the division III era (2011-present) in program history and the Gents' five conference wins are the most in a single season since joining the SCAC prior to the 2012 season.
The Gents finished the season as one of the conference's top offensive teams, as they entered the match second in goals (35) and points (91) and tied for fourth in assists (21). Centenary was also second in the conference in goals per game (2.06) and tied for 85th nationally in goals scored and tied for 104th in points.
The Gents' 37 goals are the most in a season in the D3 era, their 21 assists are the third-most, and 95 points rank second. Their 199 shots and 99 shots on goal also rank in the top 10.
Three Gents - junior D Hayden McConnell (Flower Mound, Texas), junior MF Jacob Ramsey (Baton Rouge, La.), and junior F Carter Webb (Flower Mound, Texas) were named All-SCAC as the trio combined for 12 goals, six assists, and 30 points and each proved to be one of the best players at their position in the conference this season. McConnell, Ramsey, and Webb all earned All-SCAC honors for the first time.
McConnell was also named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team after the season. The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Senior F Gabriel Aragon (Forney, Texas), senior MF Brandon Guevara (Henderson, Texas), and junior D Aidan Miller (Keller, Texas) all scored three goals each and six players scored two goals apiece – McConnell, senior F Connor Buche (College Station, Texas), junior D Lochlan Scott (Glasgow, Scotland), sophomore MF Angel Montoya (Kyle, Texas), junior F Fernando Santos (Bridgeport, Texas), and junior D Dylan Clark (Allen, Texas). Six gents scored one goal and 14 players tallied at least one assist.
Ramsey was the team leader in assists with five and three players – Scott, freshman D/MF Bevan Flanagan (Murphy, Texas), and freshman MF Marco Peterson (Bedford, Texas) were tied for second on the team with two each. Ramsey was the team leader in points (13) and Webb was right behind him with 12.
Senior GK Sam Brocato (Leesville, La.) and senior GK Casey Clemo (Forney, Texas) each started nine matches in goal for the Gents as Brocato finished as the team leader in saves (55) in his 12 matches played while Clemo, in nine matches, had 46. Brocato also posted three shutouts to lead the conference and Clemo was tied for second with a pair.
Clemo ranked sixth in the conference in save percentage (.780) and seventh in goals against average (1.71) while Brocato was ninth in save % (.688) and sixth in saves. Clemo ranked 10th in the league in saves and led the conference in saves per game (5.11) while Brocato was third (4.58). Brocato and Clemo were each named SCAC Defensive Player of the Week once.
The Gents made history on Oct. 5 in a 7-0 victory over the University of Dallas Crusaders at home as they scored their most goals in a SCAC match since they joined the conference prior to the 2013 season.
Centenary's seven goals are the second-most in a match in the division III program era (2011-present), the five assists on Sunday are tied for the third-most in a match in the D3 era and the Gents tallied 19 points – third-most in D3 era for a single match.
The Gents served notice immediately that they possessed firepower on offense as they raced past the Texas College Steers 9-0 in their season opener at Atkins Field, winning their season opener for the first time since the 2022 season.
Centenary tied a division III program era (2011-present) record for goals in a game which it set in a 9-0 home win over the Mississippi University for Women (MUW) Owls in 2024. The Gents also had seven assists, the second-most in a match in the D3 era, behind the eight they tallied in the 9-0 win over MUW. Their nine goals and seven assists totaled 25 points- the second-most in a match in the D3 era.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
The Ladies finished the season with a 1-14-3 overall record and an 0-8-2 mark in conference play.
Freshman D Alexandria Juarez (Wimberley, Texas) and freshman GK Morgan Stancliff (Pensacola, Fla.) were named to the All-SCAC team.
Three Ladies - senior D Madi Cooley (Natchez, Miss.), senior MF/F Lowrey Lain (Haughton, La.), and senior D/MF Kylie Zeller (Denham Springs, La.) were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team. Cooley earned a spot on the prestigious team for the second year in a row, Lain earned the honor for the first time, and Zeller for the third-consecutive year.
Stancliff finished third in the conference in saves (76), led the league in saves per game (5.85) and was eighth in save % (.738). In 13 matches played and 12 starts she had one shutout and her 76 saves are the 10th-most in a single season in the D3 era.
Zeller and senior MF Aubrey Burkhardt (Bossier City, La.) shared the team lead in goals with two each and points (4) and Cooley, sophomore F/MF Jenevieve Willis (Bossier City, La.), and junior MF Sarah Crenshaw (Alexandria, La.), all tied for the team lead in assists with one each. Junior MF Caila Baldwin (Gretna, La.), Lain, and freshman MF Kaitlin Sprey (New Braunfels, Texas) each scored one goal.
FOOTBALL
The Gents finished their season at 1-8 overall and 1-4 in conference play. Centenary's season ended with a 16-14 loss to Austin College in the opening game of the inaugural SCAC Football Championship on Nov. 15 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Ark.
Centenary averaged 350.8 yards per game of total offense for the season – 229.6 passing and 121.2 rushing and 16.9 PPG. The Gents' passing offense ranked third in the conference and defensively, the Maroon and White ranked second in the league in interceptions with 11 and added 50 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, and four forced fumbles.
Twelve Gents were named to the 2025 All-SCAC Team following the season as senior RB Obadiah Butler (Crowley, La.) was named First-Team All-SCAC and the other 11 Gents earned Honorable-Mention honors.
Those 11 were freshman WR Theo Dunn (Gonzales, La.), senior DL Rhema Getter (Shreveport, La.), junior OL Alexander Hamilton (St. Rose, La.), sophomore WR Christopher Jackson (Shreveport, La.), junior DL D'Qavion Lemons (Shreveport, La.), sophomore DB Dwayne Mills Jr. (Slidell, La.), freshman DB TJ Ranson (New Orleans, La.), junior OL Jaylon Simmons (Lecompte, La.), junior LB Devon Strickland (Shreveport, La.), junior DB Bryan Washington (Wylie, Texas), and sophomore LB Collin Watkins (West Monroe, La.).
Butler had a sensational season as he ranked third nationally in all-purpose yards, averaging 187.78/game and earned First-Team All-SCAC honors at running back as he finished his superb season with 687 rushing yards, 255 receiving yards, and 748 kick return yards.
Butler, who amassed 1,690 all-purpose yards, ranked in the top 100 nationally in rushing yards per game and kickoff returns. He recorded the conference's top two rushing performances of the season, finishing with 234 yards at Lyon on Oct. 18 which was preceded by 159 yards the week before at home against Texas Lutheran University. He was appropriately named to the D3football.com Team of the Week and selected as the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week following his monster performance in the Gents' overtime win at Lyon Butler also had the conference's two longest runs of the season – a 95-yard run against TLU and an 80-yard scamper against Lyon. Butler amassed 274 all-purpose yards against the Bulldogs and 269 yards against the Scots – the top two totals in the conference this season. He rushed for 85+ yards four times and 130 or more three times.
He put the finishing touches on his stellar season in the SCAC Championship as he rushed 17 times for a game-high 138 yards and two TD against Austin College. Butler caught two passes for 16 yards and returned three kicks for 72 yards as he finished with 226 total yards.
Getter had 60 total tackles and averaged 6.7 tackles/game which was good for fifth in the conference and he finished with 8.5 tackles for loss. He had 18 solo tackles in the Lyon win, the second-most by a SCAC player in a game this season, and was named the SCAC Defensive Player of the Week.
Mills Jr. (9), Watkins (15), Ranson (16), and Lemons and Washington (T20) were all ranked in the top 20 in the conference in tackles while Lemons finished in a tie for third in sacks, Getter was seventh, and Strickland and sophomore DL Gideon Bowman (Destrehan, La.) finished in the top 12. Ranson, Washington, and freshman DB D'Colby Chambers (Plain Dealing, La.) each tied for the team lead in interception with two apiece.
Dunn turned in an extremely impressive rookie season as he led the team in receptions (51), yards (691), and TD (5) and ranked in the top 10 in the conference in all-purpose yards, scoring, receptions/game and receiving yards/game. He recorded a pair of 100-yard games, six games with 60+ yards, and had a season-high 133 yards against ETBU on Sept. 20.
Feuerbacher was injured in the middle of the season and missed the final five games, but in the four games he played in he added to his sensational resume and solidified his legacy. He finished his career with 1,377 yards passing and 14 total TD on the ground and through the air. He made 4-of-6 FG attempts and 13-of-16 PAT's. He also punted 48 times with a long of 50 and landed seven inside the 20-yard line as he played four different positions in his Gents' career.
Feuerbacher etched his name into the SCAC record book on Sept. 20 as he passed for 500 yards against East Texas Baptist University, which is the third-most yards all-time in a single game for a SCAC quarterback in conference history. He was named the SCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after that performance, he completed 31 of 48 passes and threw for five touchdowns and also scored on a 2-point conversion run and punted and kicked off.
