Schweinfurth named SCAC Player of the Week
LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Centenary's Ben Schweinfurth was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week as announced by the conference office.
Schweinfurth went 4-for-7 at the plate with a .571 batting average. The four hits, including three doubles, registered second on the team in the two contests. The Mustang, Okla., native collected five RBI and scored four runs on the weekend.
In the 9-7 come from behind win over Louisiana College, the freshman went 2-for-4 at the dish, including a double with three runs scored and three RBI. Schweinfurth started his collegiate career tallying two RBI on a 2-for3 effort at the plate.
Centenary returns to action on Wednesday, Feb. 13 as the Gents host Jarvis Christian. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 2 p.m.
