Morganton, N.C.- The Brevard College men's golf team finished 11th out of 17 teams in the Donald Ross Intercollegiate, a tournament comprised of mostly of Division I golf programs.
Lynn University won the tournament with a combined team score of 854. The Tornados finished with a team score of 894, just seven strokes behind Appalachian State.
Kim Koivu led the way for the Tornados, shooting a 213 over three rounds on his way to a 7th place individual finish. Paul Calac was another top performer for Brevard, finishing 27th with a score of 218.
"As a team we are coming around," Nelson added. "I think we will post some great team scores in our last two events this fall."
BC will next compete in the Stoney Creek Shootout on Saturday, October 20th in Whittset, N.C.
