BOSSIER CITY, La. - Zander Winston's 70 leads the Centenary Gents to a second place finish after the first day of the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate. The Gents shot 321 as a team.
Winston seeks his second consecutive individual title of the season heading into the final round of the intercollegiate on Tuesday morning. Justin Ary and Trumann Nugent of team-leading Paris Community College are four and six strokes back of Winston respectively.
Jamie Gibson resides in a tie with Cameron Lindell of Tyler JC with a score of 77.
Hank Strickler shot an 84 after the first round to place him in a seven-way split for 18th. Andres Forese (90) is tied with Trey Manis and John Sidery in 35th while Arni Sigurdsson (102) rounds out the Gents' squad in a tie for 41st with John Dobbs of Jacksonville Community College.
The final round begins at 8:30 on Tuesday at the Golf Club at Stonebridge.
