Lawrenceville, Ga. - Centenary's Zander Winston was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.
Winston claimed the individual medal at the Taylormade Adidas Intercollegiate. The sophomore posted a score of 221 besting his nearest rival Brandon Godwin of Faulkner by two strokes to win the intercollegiate. The Colleyville, Texas, native posted round scores of 77, 73 and a round-low 71 on the third day en route to the crown.
Winston ranks 47th nationally according to www.golfstat.com among Division III golfers.
Centenary returns to the links on Sunday, Mar. 24 as the Gents host the Hal Sutton Intercollegiate in the Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City, La.
