Brevard, N.C. - The BC Tornados fell to the first-place Tusculum Pioneers in straight sets at Boshamer Gymnasium on Friday night, 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.
The Tornados took early leads in all three sets, but Tusculum showed great perseverance in mounting comebacks to rebound from BC's solid starts.
Tusculum's Megan Hasse contributed a game-high 12 kills at a .400 hitting percentage to lead the Pioneers, who improved to 6-1 in South Atlantic Conference play.
Joy Oswalt and Kortney Conner both had 11 kills for the Tornados, and Oswalt posted a hitting percentage of .391. On the recieving side, Kayla Hanus and Sydney Yeomans each had 13 digs.
The Tornados look to rebound on Saturday, October 6th as they host Mars Hill Lions in Boshamer Gymnasium at 2 p.m.
