Brevard, N.C.- The Brevard College volleyball team dropped their match with the Mars Hill Lions in four sets at Boshamer Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon, 25-23, 26-24, 25-14, 25-23.
Brevard recovered from a loss in the first set to edge the Lions in the second set and tie the game at 1-1. However, Mars Hill regained momentum with an exclamatory win in the third set before stealing the final set.
Marissa Wixson put together a complete performance for the Lions, delivering 15 kills, 23 digs along with six assisted blocks.
Fatima Gharachorloo again led the Tornados in kills, collecting 13 kills at a .186 hitting percentage to go along with 24 digs.
The Tornados look to regain their rhythm with a nonconference matchup with the Erskine Flying Fleet in Due West, South Carolina on October 10th at 7 p.m.
