SHREVEPORT - Senior Jesi Wilcox gathered 27 digs Thursday night, inching closer to top-10 single-season digs list, but Centenary dropped its final two home matches to Millsaps College (25-13, 25-18, 25-19) and Southern Arkansas (25-16, 25-10, 25-13).
The Ladies fall to 1-22 with the two losses while Millsaps improved to 19-4 after opening the fourth tri-match with a three-set win over Southern Arkansas (25-18, 25-16, 25-23), which moved to 17-5 after splitting Thursday's matches. Centenary returns to action this weekend with four Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches in San Antonio, Texas.
Lindsey Bruce led the Ladies office in the loss to Millsaps, hitting .400 with eight kills and only two errors in 15 attempts. Brooke Bahlinger tallied seven kills in 25 attempts, committing three errors. She also led the squad with 14 digs while Wilcox had 12.
Sarah Zito was flawless, committing no errors in 13 attempts with nine kills. Kasey Laird cranked a game-high 13 kills in 30 attacks with three errors.
Wilcox tied Southern Arkansas' Denise DeVine and Courtney Geesing with 15 digs. Klaire Blasco Vine garnered a game-high .833 hitting mark with five kills in six attempts.
