Shepard earns the weekly honor after recording a .500 average (8x16). The senior recorded eight hits and eight RBI, along with four runs, three doubles and a triple.
He also had two stolen bases with an .813 slugging percentage and 13 total bases for a .550 on-base percentage.
Shepard is riding a seven-game hitting streak and notched the game-winning RBI in the eighth inning of a seven inning game to cap off the series sweep. With the sweep, Centenary has improved to 4-3 this season.
"Cliff came up big for us this weekend. He had a hot bat throughout the series and he is a gamer," said head coach Ed McCann.
"Big-time players play hard in big-time situations."
The Arizona native leads the team offensively with a .448 clip with a team-best 13 hits, three doubles and 10 RBI.
Shepard is the third player for Centenary already this season to be honored as Player of the Week as junior 3B Keegan Acker and junior RHP David Benson were tabbed last week.
Centenary will return to action on Wednesday as it travels to Northwestern State for a 6:30 pm contest.
